TAPI
Activate the TAPI interface to use XPhone Connect Server as the TAPI Server. Installing XPhone Connect TAPI on client computers or terminal servers can provide a TAPI interface for third party applications.
Set up the TSP (TAPI service provider) of the telephone system manufacturer locally on the XPhone Connect Server machine. Ensure that all of the TAPI lines on the server are available. You can test this with TAPI tools, e.g. tphone.exe (tphone.exe is on the XPhone Connect Image under \Tools\tphone\
)
TAPI service provider
The XPhone Connect Server can be used as a TAPI Server for third-party applications. The XPhone TSP must be installed on the application computers (32 or 64 bit Windows). The respective setup can be found on the XPhone Connect installation medium in the folder SoftwareTAPI Service Provider.
The TAPI service provider (TSP) supplies lines across the system which are allocated to users.
Access to the TAPI lines is supported in three modes.
User at a single workstation
User on a terminal server
Server application
On single workstations, the TSP uses the user’s login data. Only the lines allocated to the user are made available.
In the other two cases, the TSP uses the login which is defined here in the TAPI node. The TSP then has access to all lines of the XPhone Connect Server.

Password policies: A password must consist of at least 8 characters, have upper case and lower case letters, two numbers and two special characters. As soon as the password conforms with the policy, a small green tick appears at the end of the line, or a red minus symbol appears as long as the policy is not met. The password is hidden immediately during entering. To display the password in clear text and to check the correct spelling, click on the symbol at the end of the field. This symbol is only shown once if you have to enter the password again.
Show current password
Clicking the Show current password button shows the current password for the TAPI node.
