You will get an overview of all purchased licenses and their availability.

Import

You can redeem licenses with the license request code sent by C4B in the Online License Manager on the C4B website https://www.c4b.com under SERVICE. You can upload the XML license file sent by email with Import license package.

Import a license file here you obtained as XML or request it:

  1. Please have your license request code ready and click Import license package.

  2. Your hardware ID will now be shown.

  3. If you do not have an *.xml file, follow the link on a computer with internet access and follow the instructions on the screen to access you license package.

    • You will then get your license file sent via email, which you can import in your XPhone Connect Server.

  4. In step 2, select the *.xml file and click Import.

Delete

Delete all licenses in the system here, for example if you have to move your XPhone Connect Server to another hardware.

Manage license package online

Have your license request code ready for online license management, click Manage license package online and follow the instructions on the screen.

Requirement: the machine with which you access the XPhone Connect Admin interface has internet access.

Online license management

With this online license management, you can access licenses for your XPhone Connect Server. To do this, have your license request code(s) ready.

Click Next to start the installation.

Entering the license access code

Enter the license access code here. You obtain it when purchasing the license. The license request code (also called LF code) has 11 digits.

Enter the license request code and click Next.

You will later have the possibility to add additional license request codes.

Determining customer data

If the entered license request code was accepted, you can select here if you are an existing customer, a new customer or a customer who wants to activate Try & Buy.

New customer:

The required customer data are recorded on the following pages.

Existing customer:

Ein bestehender Kunde wird anhand der Hardware-ID (ab XPhone Connect) oder der MAC-Adresse (für XPhone UC 2011 Systeme).

Try & Buy:

Tragen Sie die Hardware ID ein, diese können Sie hier in Erfahrung bringen:

XPhone Connect Server > System settings > Licenses > License management > Import license package

Fill in the required field and click Next.

Customer data

Please register your license here.

Attention

  • A later change of the customer data is not possible for security reasons!

  • E-mail addresses of the end customer’s administrative contact person: license information can only be sent to this e-mail address in case of loss.

Fill in the fields and click Next.

Sales officer

Please enter a sales contact to support the client and receive information by email from C4B on activation of the licenses. All entries are voluntary. By answering to the email sent to him, the sales officer can revoke storage of his data at C4B at any time.

Click Next.

License request codes

If desired, enter additional license request codes here. Click on the blue information symbol in the list to show the licenses contained in the corresponding fetch code.

By clicking the red X in the corresponding row, you can remove license request codes from the request procedure.

Click Next.

Summary and shipping address

You are shown a summary of the license request codes to be redeemed. Click on the blue information symbol and you will see information about the content of the license request code.

Upon delivery of the license information, you will be shown the email address to which the license information is also sent if they cannot be installed automatically.

Click Next.

License request irrevocable

To be able to install the licenses, you must confirm the irrevocability. To do this, activate the check box and confirm that the license request is complete and that the licenses cannot be returned after request.

Click Generate and install licenses.

Confirming installation

You will see the following text after successful installation: The licenses have been generated successfully and installed on the XPhone Connect Server..

License allocations

The license allocation management in the XPhone Connect Server is not activated in the standard settings. That means that all licenses are allocated to all available users.

You can make license allocations for the individual locations by activating the license allocation.

This allocation can only be used by the respective location, even if there are licenses available at this location unless they are allocated to other locations.

This function is helpful in connection with individual location administrators admin_white. In this case, each location administrator can create and configure users without retracting licenses from other locations.

Making allocations

  1. First, locations must be created in User management urs-magm.

  2. If you use XPhone Connect Server > System settings > Licenses > License allocations in point License allocations: Clicking on Revising user licenses per location will list all created locations in a table.

    • You can see the users already created at each location in brackets.

    • You can see the number of available licenses in the top row.

  3. To make an allocation of a location, click on the pen symbol lic-pen.

  4. Make the corresponding allocations, click on the floppy disc symbol save to apply them or on the arrow undo to cancel.

  5. Clicking on Save will apply all settings.

Hint

Please note that the respective number of licenses must be allocated when license allocation is activated for all locations. Otherwise, they will have no licenses by default.

Users

This view contains an overview of all license types, except XPhone Connect TAPI, used by users.

Filtering users / list view

  1. Select the desired selection parameters from the License field. A dropdown list helps with selecting the individual products:

    • -all-

    • XPhone Connect Fax

    • XPhone Connect IP-CHANNEL

    • XPhone Connect Office

    • XPhone Connect Office Plus (= Office license + extension)

    • XPhone Connect Voicemail

    The list view updates automatically. If you want to find all available data sets, select the option -all- for products. The search field stays empty in this case.

  2. If you want to narrow the search with a search term, enter a search term and click on the Search button search_icon.

By clicking on the respective Heading, the list view can be sorted in ascending table-sort1 or descending table-sort2 order.

If licenses were allocated to a user by accident, this must be corrected in User management by removing the authorisation from users of the location to use the respective function (e.g.: fax) .

Lines

This view contains an overview of all licenses and lines that have an active lease. This is necessary, for example, when licenses were allocated by accident.

Filtering lines / list view

  1. Select the desired selection parameters from the License field. A dropdown list helps with selecting the individual products:

    • -all-

    • XPhone Connect TAPI

      • The list view updates automatically.

  2. If you want to find all data sets, selection the option -all- for products. The search field stays empty in this case.

If you want to narrow the search with a search term, enter a search term and click on the Search button search_icon. By clicking on the respective Heading, the list view can be sorted in ascending table-sort1 or descending table-sort2 order.

If licenses were allocated to a user by accident, this must be corrected in User management by removing the authorisation from users of the location to use the respective function.
