CTI connection

Configuration of the CSTA interface of the telephone system

The Cisco CallManager is configured as follows:

  • First, create a new user for the administration, e.g. XPhoneTAPI

  • Configure the users and all services required for CTI.

Make sure that the option Enable CTI Application use was activated.

cucm2

Configuring Cisco TSP

  1. Install CiscoTSP.exe on the XPhone Connect Server. The TSP can be downloaded from the CallManager Administrations Web site (https://CallManager/CCMAdmin/install.asp – Cisco Telephony Service Provider).

  2. In the Windows Control Panel click Telephone and Modem. Click on the tab Advanced, select CiscoTSP001.tsp and click Configure.

  3. Configure the Cisco Unified CallManager TSP as follows:

    • Click on the tab User and enter user name and password according to Cisco CallManager user XPhoneTAPI.

    • Click on the tab CTI Manager and make sure that the CallManager IP address field was activated and that the correct IP address is shown.

Use a TAPI test tool (e.g. phone.exe –>http://www.julmar.com) to ensure that all Cisco lines are visible and can be controlled.

UM

For the Unified Messaging connection, please use the technical documentation from TE-Systems. This describes the connection via XCAPI.

XCC

The SIP gateway for the AnyDevice and conference service functions is configured completely independently of the SIP gateway for the UM functions.

Hint

The same configuration concerning the telephone number signalling in E-164 format must be made for the SIP gateway and its dialling parameters as for the CTI connection.

Configuring the PBX

SIP trunk security profile

  1. As indicated in the following screenshot, the security settings must be deactivated for XCC connection.

  2. UDP must be used by default as Outgoing Transport Type.
