Client interfaces are interfaces to various applications or end devices via which you can access the central XPhone Connect Directory service and browse your company contacts. Use a configuration wizard to easily and swiftly add client interfaces to the XPhone Connect Directory. The central XPhone Connect Directory service works like a central company address book and ensures that contact data in the applications / on the end devices is shown in standardised form, regardless of the data source.

Configuration wizard

The configuration wizard supports you when adding new client interfaces to XPhone Connect Directory. Only a few configuration steps guide you through the process of setting up the new client interfaces. You can operate the configuration wizard in various ways:

• Use the Next and Back buttons to switch to the next configuration step or to call up the previous configuration step again.

• Select the individual steps directly in the configuration wizard.

Hint

If you save a new client without completing the mandatory fields, a message will appear to this effect. The individual steps in the configuration wizard are also highlighted by an exclamation mark if key information is missing.

The following sections describe configuration of the individual client interfaces which you can add to XPhone Connect Directory. You will also obtain an overview of the conditions to be met for accessing your contact data via the client interfaces.
