Team Panel

The Team Panel offers an overview of your colleagues’ presence status. Furthermore, calls can be accepted by the Team Panel or colleagues’ presence information changed.

All information and control options shown are subject to a strict authorisation concept. This authorisation concept complies with that of the Client’s contact list. The various authorisation levels (relationships) are explained here: Matrix..

Overview of Team Panel features:

  • Docking at the top or side edge of the desktop

  • Fade in by moving the mouse over the Gripper which is always visible.

  • “PIN” function: The window does not automatically zoom in and out when pinned.

  • HangMaking and hanging up calls

  • Login and logout from call groups (system requirements: use a compatible ACD application)

  • Classification of the display into groups, whereby personal groups or groups defined centrally by the administrator can be used

Start and remote control

Start the Team Panel from the Tools menu in the Connect Client:

start

The Client notes when ending the Client whether the Team Panel was started and can open it automatically the next time the programme is started. The Team Panel is shown on the monitor displaying the Connect Client when started from the menu. When started automatically, the Team Panel is started from where it was the last time the Connect Client was ended.

The started team panel can be recognized by the Gripper element located at the top of the screen. The Gripper can be moved to a suitable position by dragging it left and right with the mouse.

gripper

When the mouse is hovered over the Gripper at the border of the screen, the Team Panel automatically opens. When you move the mouse out of the Team Panel window, the window closes again.

The entire Team Panel can also be moved from the top edge of the screen to the left-hand or right-hand edge of the desktop. Click the grey edge of the Team Panel and hold down the mouse button to drag the Team Panel to the position you require.

Use the Pin button to fix the window in place on the screen. The desktop area is automatically reduced in this case and windows for other applications may be adapted in size.

Presence display and functions

The contact display in the Team Panel largely complies with how it is depicted in the contact list. The following features apply:

  • Actions on a contact are carried out via the context menu. The contact must be right-clicked for this.

  • A simple click does not trigger any action but rather selection of the contact (e.g. for removing contacts).

  • Displays are from left to right and top to bottom (as for a list of several columns).

  • The contact item background is completely grey, green or red depending on the contact’s presence status (unavailable, present, busy). Pending voice calls are indicated by a flashing red light.

Search for contacts

The search entry field permits searches within the Team Panel. Use the drop arrow to select the search area:

  • Current tab - Search in the group currently shown

  • All tabs - Search in all groups

  • Own and company contacts - Search in address books

  • Own contacts - Search in address books

  • XPhone users - Search in the XPhone user data base

The drop arrow is blue when the default Current tab setting is changed.

When the search mode is active, the tabs are displayed in a dull grey colour. Changing the tab or clicking the cross sysmbol in the entry field deletes search mode.

Groups

The Team Panel shows personal and central groups. They have the following features:

Personal groups

  • You can generate or delete personal groups

  • You can add or delete contacts

  • You can change the names of these groups

  • The default relationship specified by the administrator is assigned to new contacts which you can change at any time via the Relationships context menu.

Central groups

  • These are predefined by the administrator

  • They can not be renamed, changed or deleted

  • Relationships are preassigned by the administrator depending on the group’s purpose. Depending on the settings by administration, it may be permissible to extend and limit relationships or only extend them. Obtain information from your administrator if you have questions.

The various definitions of relationships are explained here: Matrix.

Using the Hamburger menu beside the search entry field, groups not visible as tabs can be opened, and new personal groups can be created and managed (visibility, sorting).

tp-menu

Groups are identical in the Team Panel and in the contact list, i.e. if you add or remove contacts or groups in the Team Panel, this change also has an effect on the contact list and vice versa. Using the Manage groups function, groups can be faded out or changed in the display order to be separate for Team Panel and the contact list. Accordingly, the Manage groups function can be found in the contact list of a group’s context menu and in the Team Panel’s tab menu (see next section).

Arrange contacts freely

If you select Free arrangement sorting in the dropdown menu of a tab, you can arrange the contact cards as you like in the Team-Panel. Drag and drop the contact cards to any location.

In the dropdown menu of a tab and in the context menu of the right mouse button there is the menu item Add label. You can name such a Label freely, for example to better organize the contacts. For example, you could use the department name as a label. All contacts that are arranged under this label are then visually easier to find as employees of this department.

Manage groups

Use the Manage groups dialogue to adapt the display of groups in the Team Panel and the contact list. The settings apply separately for the contact list and for the Team Panel depending on where the dialogue was opened. Groups can be faded in and out as well as changed in terms of display order. It is also visible here whether a group has been defined centrally or by the user.

Hanging up calls

Use the receiver symbol on the left border of the Team Panel to end ongoing calls.
