Notifications

Response to voice calls

Activate the display of Toast (desktop notification) and/or the conversation window for incoming calls. Depending on the configuration, the desktop notification (Toast) and/or the window of the XPhone Connect Client belonging to the conversation will then appear for an incoming call.

Response to new chats

Activate the display of the toast (desktop notification) and/or the conversation window for incoming chats. Depending on the configuration, the incoming desktop notification (toast) and/or the XPhone Connect Client window associated with the conversation will then appear for an incoming chat. With the option Presence status Do not disturb suppresses chat notifications, no toast is displayed for the chat after activating the presence Do not disturb regardless of the configuration.

Notification tones

Select ring tones for signalling calls and/or chat messages separated by internal and external calls. You can set the output devices and ring tone volume under Audio.

Email notifications

You can activate the e-mail notification for missed calls. You can also choose whether internal callers or picked-up calls should be excluded from this e-mail notification.

Busylight

XPhone Connect Client also controls a Kuando Busylight UC connected via USB for signalling the current status. XPhone Connect supports the Alpha and Omega Busylight models as a device connected locally but not within a terminal server environment.

The presence status (e.g. Present, Do not disturb) or events (e.g. inbound calls) are signalled by various colours at the Busylight (on or flashing).

  1. Connect the Busylight to your computer via USB. Only one Busylight may be connected at a time.

  2. Open the Notifications > Busylight settings.

  3. Select a task for the Busylight:

    • Deactivated

      Busylight is not used.

    • Telephone & presence

Telephone status and presence status are signalled.

    • Telephone

Only telephone status is signalled (inbound call, ongoing call).

  4. Select a ring tone for acoustic signalling at the Busylight.

  5. Adjust the ring tone volume.

  6. Check the ring tone melody and volume by clicking the Play icon.

  7. Press OK to save.

  8. Press OK to close the configuration dialogue.

Hint

If the Busylight is used by several applications in a Windows session, the XPhone Connect status may not be shown correctly.
