Number of database entries and database type as well as number of faxes per hour are decisive for the maximum expansion stage of the server. Fax release over 5000 users when using client-side rendering.

Locations and connectors

The following standard limitations of the locations and connectors are to be considered during planning. If a larger number is required, the respective system environment must be tested with it and adapted if necessary.

The maximum expansion level of the softphone is generally to be calculated per call, since the transcoding requires the most computing power. It should be noted that the table above refers to simultaneous calls and that there is a serious difference between internal and external calls. For the calculation, the number of cores (cf. Intel® Xeon® processor E7 v4) for internal and external calls has to be added. The performance can be increased if Opus is configured as the codec for the PBX instead of G.711.

Attention

For the meeting service and Softphone & AnyDevice to operate reliably, stably, and with good voice quality, the network must be VoIP Ready. We recommend separating or prioritizing voice and data on the network.

ScreenSharing

The own screen can be shared with a maximum of 25 XPhone Connect users (desktop client) at a resolution of 1080p. If you are in a VPN, the number of possible “viewers” can be drastically reduced.

Resolution & Bandwidth

The number of participants depends on upload bandwidth, CPU & memory. If all requirements (see documentation) are met, we recommend a resolution of max. 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full-HD) for the presenter.
