This chapter describes the settings you can make for the XPhone Connect Client for a location.

Connect desktop client

Use the desktop client

Here you can set if users of the corresponding location/configuration group use an XPhone Connect Client. If XPhone Connect Clients are required, activate Use desktop client checkbox.

Display

  • Show new conversations in undocked windows

    Conversations are not displayed in the main window, but in separate windows.

  • Start XPhone Connect automatically at system start-up

    If you start your computer, the XPhone Connect Client is also started at the same time, without the employee having to take any additional action. The XPhone Connect Client is thus ready for use at the same time as the computer.

  • Start and end XPhone Connect along with the Outlook Client

    If you start your Outlook, the XPhone Connect Client is also started or closed at the same time, without the employee having to take any additional action. The XPhone Connect Client is thus ready for use at the same time as your Outlook.

  • Use Team Panel

Behaviour for phone calls

For incoming voice calls, there are these options:

  • Show toast and position conversation in the foreground when accepting calls

  • Show toast and do not position conversation in the foreground when accepting calls

  • Do not show toast and position conversation in the foreground

What to do with new chat messages

Für eingehende Chatnachrichten gibt es diese Optionen:

  • Show toast and do not fade out automatically

  • Show toast and fade out after 30 seconds

  • Do not show toast and position conversation in the foreground

For all options, chat notifications can additionally be suppressed with the presence status Do not disturb.

Address books

  • Connect Outlook default contact folder

  • Give local address books higher priority than data sources from the XPhone Connect Directory

Hotkeys

This is where you can specify the hotkeys centrally for the XPhone Connect Clients. Settings carried out directly at the XPhone Connect Client are given priority.

Available settings dialogs

All setting dialogues active here checkbox are offered to the user of the location/configuration group in the settings of the client.

Dashboard

  • Use Dashboard

    Activates the use of the dashboard for the users of the location/configuration group. If the URL field remains empty, a standard URL is used.

Show presence information in Microsoft Office

Connect mobile client

  • Use mobile client

    Here you set whether users of the corresponding location / configuration group use a mobile client. If mobile clients are required, activate Use mobile client checkbox.

Advanced settings

You can add additional parameters or modify existing ones with Edit or delete parameters with Delete. Click Save again to apply the selected parameters with the set values.

Only change these settings when advised to do so by product support.
