Monitoring group
A monitoring group comprises two subgroups which can have different relationships with each other.
Manage monitoring group
Create monitoring group and add members
Click New group…
Select Monitoring group.
Assign a name (mandatory field).
Enter a description.
Select whether this group is to be made available to all XPhone Connect Clients. If yes, activate Make this group available to all members in XPhone Clients. In this case, the members find a group in their contact list in XPhone Connect Client and in Team Panel. Users can then decide whether they wish to show or hide this group
Now assign the relationships between each member of the group. The following selection options are available:
Assistant+
Assistant
Team colleague
Employee
External person

Now add participants to the Observer subgroup (mandatory field). Do this by clicking Add.
Find the participants by entering their names, locations, departments or phone numbers, and then press Enter or click on the magnifying glass.
Select the participant by clicking Remember selected entries. If you only wish to add one member, you can skip b
Now click Accept selection or Accept all.
Now add participants to the Group members subgroup (mandatory field). Do this by clicking Add.
Find the participants by entering their names, locations, departments or phone numbers, and then press Enter or click on the magnifying glass.
Select the participant by clicking Remember selected entries. If you only wish to add one member, you can skip b
Now click Accept selection or Accept all.
Save the monitoring group.
Remove participants from the monitoring group
Select the respective monitoring group and click Edit.
Delete a member from one of the two subgroups by selecting it in the respective list (hold the Ctrl key to make multiple selections) and then clicking Remove.
You may need to repeat this process for the other sub-group if you wish to delete participants from the list of observers and the list of group members.
Save the monitoring group.
Hint
Please note that at least one member must remain in each list.
Removing the monitoring group
Select the respective monitoring group and click Delete.
Confirm the question Do you really want to delete the team? by clicking OK.
Examples
The Sales Director would like to receive information on the status of his employees. This requires creating a Monitoring group. The Sales Director must be added to the observer group and the colleagues must be added to the list of group members. The relationships Forwarder for the Sales Director and Forwarding participant for employees are automatically preassigned.
