Call forwarding for One Number service
If users use both office phones (CTI Controlled Devices) and AnyDevice or Softphone, a call forwarding is set in the office phone for the One Number Service concept if a device other than the office phone is to be used. This call forwarding points to the XPhone Call Controller. The XPhone Call Controller (XCC) automatically forwards incoming calls to a device (AnyDevice or Softphone) selected by the user.
There are two ways in which the XPhone Server can identify users in the case of an incoming call:
Standardised call number for call diversion
The gateway (“PBX”) provides a so-called redirecting ID, i.e. the number of the device that has forwarded a call. This corresponds to the number of the workstation telephone whose call number is stored in the user properties.
Call forwarding with number prefix
Redirection with call prefix If the gateway does not supply the redirecting ID, the so-called Called Party ID (the called party) is used. The call numbers of the AnyDevice terminals in the XCC are identical to the extensions of the respective users in the voice gateway. The
XccGatewayInPrefix
is used to make the AnyDevices unique in the call number plan of the voice gateway.
Hint
In earlier XPhone versions, this call forwarding in the XPhone Client was also called Follow-me.
Standardised call number for call diversion
Navigate to System settings > Telephony & Meetings > Telephony > SIP > SIP Gateway Objekt > AnyDevice / Softphone and check the Use standardised phone number for forwarding to AnyDevice / Softphone checkbox. Add a call number in the Number for forwarding field.
In order for all users to be able to use a standardised call number for forwarding to the AnyDevice / Softphone device, the telephone system used must support the transmission of the call number of the forwarding user in the SIP Diversion header. The forwarding call number is then determined from this using a regular expression.
Call forwarding with number prefix
The XccGatewayInPrefix
defines a call number prefix which is placed by the gateway in front of the call number transmitted to the XPhone call controller. The XCC removes the prefix and determines which user is affected based on the rest of the phone number. The prefix is used by the gateway to configure routing to the XCC so that calls to the AnyDevice on the SIP trunk are routed to the call controller.
Hint
For the value XccGatewayInPrefix
to apply, the option Use standardised phone number… must not be active in the settings of the SIP gateway under AnyDevice/Softphone and the Phone Number for Redirection must be empty here.
Configuration
Example configuration for the user with the call number 100
and the prefix 6
:
System settings > Telephony & Meetings > Telephony > SIP > SIP Gateway Objekt > Advanced Settings
Name |
Value |
XccGatewayInPrefix |
6 |
Routing in the gateway =
6
leads to the SIP trunk of the XCC.Call to
6100
= Call is routed to the user’s AnyDevice with the phone number100
.
Even if the gateway provides a redirecting ID, the XccGatewayInPrefix
may need to be specified together with the parameter XccUseDirectRedirecting.
Hint
For the dialling parameters assigned to the telephony and SIP gateway, please note that the length of the internal call number may have to be adjusted - for example, to a length of 5. This is composed of the digits of prefix + extension (2 digits prefix + 3 digits extension). See System settings > Dialing parameter > Dialling parameter object.
