Upgrade
The main components of the XCC are updated by the XPhone server. However, if something changes in the operating system or the satellite bridge, the satellite must also be updated. The XCC settings (also SIP gateways and lines) are included in the XPhone Server, so replacing the virtual machine or only the virtual hard disk is sufficient.
Deploy a new virtual machine
You can create a completely new virtual machine. Follow these instructions for action:
Provision a new virtual machine in Hyper-V or VM-Ware (e.g. vSphere).
Start the virtual machine.
Disable all SIP gateways and the XCC.
stop the satellite to be exchanged.
Remove the satellite just stopped.
Configure a fixed IP address for the new satellite.
Create a new satellite.
Configure in XCC the Linux satellite you just created.
Activate the XCC and all SIP Gateways.
Delete the old virtual machine.
Replace the virtual hard disk
You can also replace only the virtual hard disk. Follow these instructions:
Disable all SIP gateways.
Disable the XCC and switch to the local XCC.
stop the satellite to be exchanged.
Remove the satellite just stopped.
Shut down the virtual machine and replace only the virtual hard disk in the virtual machine Hyper-V or VM-Ware (e.g. vSphere).
Start the virtual machine.
Configure a fixed IP address for the new satellite.
Create a new satellite.
Configure in XCC the Linux satellite you just created.
Activate the XCC and all SIP Gateways.
Delete the old virtual hard drive.
