Features

The following XPhone Connect functions are available in DATEV pro:

  • Dialling phone numbers from the DATEV pro application

  • Call control in the application XPhone Connect (pick up, hang up, forward, conference etc.)

  • XPhone Connect caller identification and caller display in XPhone Connect using the central master data from DATEV pro (addressees or institutions data).

  • Transfer calls with caller data from XPhone Connect to DATEV pro. Transfer can be automatic according to various criteria. Call data is processed at the DATEV pro workstation.

  • XPhone Connect address book integration of central master data by DATEV pro in XPhone Connect. The central master data from DATEV pro is available there in parallel to other contact directories.

  • Call journal when PC is switched off with transfer to DATEV pro as soon as the XPhone Connect Client is started. The last 100 Call-type journal entries are transferred which took place within the past 30 days.

  • Automatic detection that DATEV Telefonie Basis is installed and automatic activation of the integration functions.

Start-up

Client installation

XPhone Connect Client is installed on the same PC as the DATEV pro workstation. When using terminal services, make sure that XPhone Connect and the DATEV pro software are running on the same machine.

The interface to the DATEV pro software is activated automatically – no manual steps necessary.

Hint

Technical info: XPhone Connect detects the presence of the DATEV Telefonie Basis at registration of the DATEV telephony interface type library.

If the registration entry is missing, DATEV Telefonie Basis is not installed. For configuration of the DATEV data source, see Directory Administration.

The settings for each location can be configured in the XPhone Connect Server administration:

The XPhone Connect Client uses the phone number and PBX messages to determine whether a call is external or internal and then transfers to DATEV pro depending on the setting. Both values (1+2) can be combined to transfer both external and internal calls. The default setting is 1.

Automatic transfer using the DATEV addressee ID

Calls are only transferred to DATEV pro when a contact from the central master data has been detected by DATEV pro on the basis of the phone number. Further actions with the detected DATEV addressee are only possible in such cases at the DATEV workstation.

Automatic transfer of connected calls

Only calls which have actually been carried out (technically “connected”) are automatically transferred to DATEV pro.

Hint

The factors can be added - adding factors 1 and 2 to 3, for example, ensures that both external and internal calls are transferred. The 11 setting comprises the actions of 1, 2 and 8, for example. The default setting is 1. For configuration of the DATEV data source see Directory Administration.

Telephony in DATEV

The DATEV pro software shows at various points - wherever phone numbers are available - an interface for dialling a phone number displayed. If the XPhone Connect Client has been started, this dialling mode is carried out. Ongoing control of the call is via the XPhone Connect Client call control.

In future, DATEV will be concentrating on optimum links between telephony functions and DATEV pro applications. All functions are implemented in these libraries. Consult your administrator if necessary.
