Installation

Hint

Please note the System requirements before installation!

• Request the software via the website https://www.contacts-by-xphone.com/de/tryandbuy/ and download it using the download link provided.

• Unzip the compressed file and start the server setup from the directory \ContactsByXPhone_V9_X_XXX\Software\Server\setup.exe.

• The installation wizard starts and then the setup of the XPhone Connect Server.

Hint

If you are already familiar with XPhone, you will notice that many components have been omitted from this installation and that no dialog for selecting the operating mode is displayed. Ultimately, this is an installation of XPhone Connect Directory in As directory service mode.

The installation wizard opens. If you are using a non-approved operating system or not the latest service pack, a corresponding message will appear. If the operating system meets the requirements, the following window appears:

Start the server setup to install the components.

Setup

The setup for the XPhone Connect operating mode now appears as a directory service.

No expansion with additional services is provided in this operating mode; leave the default features as they are and do not change any settings.

Complete the installation.
