Notes: Central contact database

The “Notes: Central database” makes a central database available to all XPhone Connect users on the Domino server.

Requirements

  • Domino Server as data source

  • Notes user with at least read access to the desired databases

  • Notes Client on the XPhone Connect Directory Server system

    Hint

The Notes client should be installed with the option Only for me - otherwise there may be problems with the connection test.

  • In the Windows account under which the XPhone Connect Directory Server also runs (XPhone Connect service account), the Notes user with which access to the database is to take place must be set up as a Notes standard user.

    Dies wird folgendermaßen konfiguriert:

    1. Log in with the XPhone Connect Server service account.

    2. Start the Notes client in the context of this Windows user.

    3. Select the Notes user ID file with access rights and log in with the Notes user password.

    4. Open the central address book in the Notes client as a test to check the access authorization.

    5. Exit the Notes client again.

In these sections you will set up the connection to the server and the database and filter the records.

    Hint

The Notes client should be installed with the option Only for me - otherwise there may be problems with the connection test.

  3. Select the server database to be included and select the data using a view or filter.

    Hint

The server name is read from the ID file that is copied to the user folder of the XPhone Connect service account when logging on to the client (see Prerequisites above).
